Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information we collect when you visit this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep what we collect to a minimum and never sell it.
Effective 21 June 2026.
Who we are
This website is operated by Davenport Computing (“Davenport,” “we,” or “us”). If you have any question about this policy or your information, contact us at hello@davenportcomputing.com.
Information we collect
- Usage and device data. When you browse this site we collect standard analytics data — pages viewed, approximate location (derived from IP, not stored in full), referring site, and basic device and browser information. This is used in aggregate to understand how the site is used and to improve it.
- Information you send us. If you use our contact form or email us, we receive the details you provide — your name, email address, organization (optional), and message — so we can reply.
Analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics 4, a service provided by Google, to measure how visitors use this site. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects usage data on our behalf. We have configured it to limit the data collected and we do not use it to identify you personally. You can review how Google handles this data in the Google Privacy Policy, and you can opt out across sites using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will continue to work without them.
How we use information
- To operate, secure, and improve this website.
- To understand which content and ventures are useful to visitors.
- To respond to enquiries you send us, and only for that purpose.
How we share information
We do not sell your information and we do not share it for advertising. We use a small number of service providers — such as Google for analytics — who process data only to provide their service to us. We may disclose information if required by law.
Data retention
Analytics data is retained for a limited period in line with our analytics provider’s default retention settings. Messages you send us are kept only as long as needed to handle your enquiry and our records of it.
Your choices
You can opt out of analytics as described above, and you can ask us to access or delete the information you have sent us by emailing hello@davenportcomputing.com.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our practices evolve. When we do, we will revise the effective date above. Material changes will be made clear on this page.
